FAQ

How do I know if you are a good fit for me?
I am happy to have a free 15-minute phone consultation to see how I can help you and if my approach seems to fit your needs. You are also welcome to come in for an initial appointment and see how you feel working together. A good fit is crucial for therapy.
-
What will my first visit be like? How long do sessions last?
My goal the first visit is to get to know you and for you to feel as comfortable as you can. It can be difficult to take the first step to see a counselor, and I realize trust can take time. I will let you set the pace the first time we meet (and always) as to how much you would like to share, or if it would be helpful if I ask you questions. Sessions are 5o minutes long to allow me to wrap up in a timely manner to start the next appointment on time.

What is the cost of a session?
Sessions are $140 with a sliding scale based on household income level from $140-$90 available upon request if needed. I accept cash, check, or credit card payments.
-
What ages do you see?
I see adult females and males over the age of 19.

Do you take insurance?
I am currently paneled for BCBS of Alabama insurance as a network provider; in addition, I do offer a sliding scale from $140-$90 based on household income level for those who need financial assistance with session costs. Some clients have also been able to get reimbursement from their insurance company with a superbill out-of-network.
